Training is at the heart of Valentine Chapus-Gilbert's career.

After several HR experiences in companies, she started her own business in 2001 and worked with start-ups as an outsourced human resources manager. Then quickly switched to training, accompanying the executives of Axa, Orange and SNCF on their recruitment and management issues.

"The desire to learn and curiosity guide me. I am passionate about HR. I take care of people, I care about their well-being. But I am never a key expert in a profession," she says.

In order to consolidate her experiences and methods, the trainer... is trained regularly. A way to update your knowledge, take an interest in new pedagogies and stimulate your curiosity among your peers. "I'm always looking to stay one step ahead," confirms Valentine Chapus-Gilbert.

Trade books for children

To satisfy her thirst for learning, Valentine Chapus-Gilbert dares to leave her comfort zone and experiment with other activities.

She writes and directs several management books and starts in 2013 by creating the "Éditions de l'Arrosoir," alongside Juliette Seeuws-Nicoli. This publishing house offers books to explain the professions to young readers.

The approach is aimed at companies, which can thus promote their businesses (generally penuric) with an original and promising format. Sensitized very early on thanks to these mixed books and adapted to their age (6-12 years), children discover the trades and imagine their professional future.

"The book is financed by the company. It highlights the business and can be offered to employees, customers and prospects. Once the collection is complete, we plan to distribute it in bookstores," explains Valentine Chapus-Gilbert. Two books have already been written: engineer and aircraft pilot. Architect and accountant are being designed.

Offered training

In order to promote this new activity, Valentine Chapus-Gilbert has chosen to train in social media by taking the module Leveraging Social Media to increase her visibility as part of the DigitalMarketing Certification Training.

"As an emlyon business school graduate, I had a three-day training course offered on the theme of my choice. It is a real gift, which has enabled me to understand the practices and define a strategy to promote the Editions de l'Arrosoir," the director explains.

The objective is to generate leads (Editor's note: new customers) on this differentiating service. While becoming a reference in this market thanks to the production of original and regular content. A way, once again, to stay one step ahead....
