Master Class - Intercultural Management

Working with people from different horizons and with various cultural backgrounds is a common challenge nowadays in a globalized business world. When interacting with people from other cultures there is always something to learn, but cultural differences make it also hard sometimes to work efficiently across cultural boundaries.

Starting with a short case study, participants will share experience and ways to successfully interact with people from other cultures to achieve desired personal and business-related goals. We will also discuss the challenges and the benefits of dealing with business partners on a global level. As a take-away, we will highlight (based on participants’ input) some elements of the concept of culture, and how culture influences the way that individuals behave. This Masterclass is based on interactive exchange and learning from others.

Hans-Jörg Schlierer has a PhD in Intercultural Management (Saarland University, Germany) and a long experience as consultant for intercultural management, intercultural teambuilding and post-merger intergration.
