An award-winning end to the year!

02 FEBRUARY 2017

Brystol-Myers Squibb received not one but two awards in 2016 at the Victoires des Leaders du Capital Humain awards ceremony. First, the group won the award for Talent Management and Mobility, and then came runner up in the Pharma and Healthcare sector category.

This dual success comes hot on the heels of the 4th edition of the Break-Through programme, formulated in partnership with emlyon business school.

The programme targets potential talent and experts, with a view to enhancing the intrapreneurship skills of the pharmaceutical group’s employees, helping to drive the company’s transformation strategy.

The professional development programme includes individual coaching from emlyon business school experts, conferences, and round table discussions for project teams.

The programme modules each grapple with a strategic issue facing the company, combining academic contributions and external benchmarks. For example, it was after one of the Break-Through editions that Brystol-Myers Squibb had the idea to give children hospitalised in sterile wards avatars (robots) so that they could have contact with the world outside the hospital, maintaining their relationships and social life. This idea, maturely considered, was concretized by external partners within the health care institution.

In light of this success, emlyon business school and Brystol-Myers Squibb are proud to announce the 5th edition of the Break-Through programme for 2017.
